According to Wikipedia, Travel is the movement of people between distant geographical locations. Travel can be done by foot, bicycle, automobile, train, boat, bus, airplane, ship or other means, with or without luggage, and can be one way or round trip. Travel can also include relatively short stays between successive movements.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS:
Almost all international travels require a form of travel documents. Traveling documents could be a Travelling passport, Visa, international organization ID card, etc., Could you think of anything worse than rocking up to the airport realizing you forgot your traveling documents, then missing your flight because you have to go home and get it? Before you head to the airport, the first thing you need to make sure of is your travel documents. Make sure it’s valid always.

To add up, if the travels are within one country, one needs to keep the traveling documents (including permit) if applicable on him/herself always as they may be checked at a point. If you are a resident of the touring country, it is ideal to also keep any form of identification card/documents on you.
CLOTHING:
Before you make any move to different destinations in terms of touring, remember to know the location’s weather information. In this view, you will know the kind of clothing to take along. Take light layers for warm locations and thick layers for cold locations. Also, pack enough of the clothes to last you the time of your stay but do not overpack. Pack only the necessary ones.
MEDICINES:
Health matters most. Know yourself and know also how you respond to new environments. It is advisable to first pack your prescribed medications in a first aid kit before any other stuff as it is so easy to forget when you are backpacking and don’t forget to have all drugs stored in the First Aid kit box.
MAPS/GPS:
Having access to a GPS App on your mobile phone will be a lifesaver when you’re trying to navigate around the city.
TRAINERS:
You are going to be walking around the city a lot. Trainers will be your savior. There’s nothing worse than having a blister when walking around.
TOILETRIES:
Traveling in all forms, be it Plane, Train or Car can and will have a detrimental effect on your skin. Taking precautions along with you should help alleviate any issues that may arise. in spite of all these, one can take along towels, soaps, sponge, toothbrush and paste, etc.
BACKPACK:
This means is usually a great idea. Having a backpack for your trip makes movement easier. But remember to get a backpack that has enough space to accommodate any souvenir you may buy en-route. For health purposes, do not load the backpack to be too heavy as that may discomfort your back. Due to unforeseen weather adverse, your backpack should have a rain cover if not definitely purchase one; the last thing you want is your stuff to get drenched.
CAMERA:
Could you have traveled to a destination of your dream without a camera? That can’t be possible. Take along a camera better enough to capture all the life events you may encounter. Some prefer to go along with their phone cameras, which is not a bad idea. But if you can, get a digital camera for better and precision captures.
READING MATERIALS:
Along your journey, you may feel idle at a point especially when you are in a car, bus or plane. It’s best you get any reading material to keep you active throughout the transporting period.
RAINCOAT/WATERPROOF:
Weather in some countries can be unpredictable. So be prepared with waterproof layers. Check weather updates throughout your journey.
